We now provide easy Postman integration for all API request examples listed in our documentation. This includes the ability to use Postman to query all iOS apps available on the Apple App Store and Android apps available on Google Play, the Amazon Appstore, and Tencent MyApp.
Since the beginning of 2021, we here at 42matters have been hard at work adding new features to our APIs and file dumps, as well as broadening our app market Explorer offerings. Already, a mere three months into the year, we’ve added 14 new features and solutions to the 42matters line-up.
Today, we’re pleased to announce the addition of one more! Our development team has officially launched Postman collection for Google Play, the Apple App Store, Amazon Appstore, and Tencent MyApp! In this article, we’ll briefly go over the following:
So, with that, let’s begin!
What Is Postman?
Here’s how the folks over at Postman describe their offering: Postman is a collaboration platform for API development that simplifies each step of building an API and streamlines collaboration so you can create better APIs — faster.
One of the most common Postman use cases — and the one relevant to our new offering — is exploratory testing, which is described as simultaneous learning, test design, and execution.
How to Get Your Free Access Token
As noted above, we now provide Postman collection for API request example tests listed in our documentation. However, before you begin querying app stores with Postman, you’ll need to get yourself an access token.
If you don’t already have one, don’t worry! Here’s how to get started for free:
- Register for a free 14-day trial.
- Once you’ve set up a trial account, navigate to the Explorer Launchpad (this should be the default page when you login to your account).
- On the right-hand side of the Launchpad, you’ll find the Quick Settings menu.
- At the top of the Quick Settings menu, you’ll find your API Access Token.
You can use your API Access Token to test all of our APIs, including Postman collection capabilities, for two weeks. Beyond that, you’ll need to sign up for the real deal.
